Job Summary:
Working as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary teams, the Chaplain offers a compassionate presence, providing emotional and spiritual care while promoting wholeness and well-being to patients/residents, their families as well as other Covenant Health staff. This position reports to the Spiritual Care Manager, Seniors and Long Term Care, Covenant Health,
- Masters Degree in Theology or equivalent obtained from a recognized theological college required.
- Minimum one year of related experience in an institutional ministry (hospital/correctional facility/large church/other) required.
- Minimum of Advanced Standing in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training from an accredited CASC training facility.
- Willingness and ability to obtain Specialist Certification with CASC.
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS).
- Good knowledge and respect of world faiths and cultures along with excellent communication skills.
